Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Diners love the outdoor seating where you can enjoy your fish and chips while listening to the delightful sound of the river nearby. The light and crispy batter on their haddock is a fan favorite, often praised for its freshness. Many patrons appreciate the variety of gluten-free options, which make the menu accessible to a broader audience, including those with dietary restrictions.

The homemade crab cakes and lobster tails are standout offerings that showcase local seafood in unique ways. Friendly service creates an inviting atmosphere, ensuring that even on busy weekends, customers feel well taken care of. Additionally, the reasonable pricing for quality fish and chips in a popular tourist area earns high marks from visitors.

Most Disliked

Some visitors mention that the queue can get long during peak times, particularly on weekends when the area sees more tourists. Although the food quality is worth the wait, it might not sit well with those in a hurry.

A few patrons note the single size of chips served with meals, wishing for more customization in portion sizes. While the mix of sizes for fish options is appreciated, the limited chip size can be disappointing for those looking for a heartier serving. Additionally, while outdoor seating is loved, some guests have commented that the weather can be unpredictable, affecting comfort while dining al fresco.

Great fish and chips, outdoor seating. Haddock and cod, different sizes but only one size of chips. Tartar sauce and mushy peas yum.

Perfect in every way! By the side of a river in the heart of Aberdaron, you can choose to sit outside at the picnic tables or take away to the beach. You can also eat in the restaurant. The haddock we had was fresh and the batter was light and crispy. Some locally caught shellfish on the menu also which was great to see. Very friendly and attentive staff and prices seemed very good for such a tourist hot-spot. Spotlessly clean. I imagine it gets very busy at weekends, but it would be worth the wait in the queue!

fantastic food and lovely outdoor seating by a little stream, well out of the way of the wind on the seafront.

Gorgeous gluten free Haddock and chips, friendly staff and great system for ordering and collecting. Would highly recommend this for fellow coeliac sufferers and will hopefully be going back 😁

This chippy came recommended to use by our air BnB hosts. So we had to try it. All food is freshly fried to order, the cod was delicious and likewise was the chips. It wasn't very greasy either. I had a side of curry sauce too which was tasty. Unfortunately they had no proper forks, which meant struggling with 2 tiny wooden chip forks. But apart from this I would highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely fish and chips.
